Here’s the thing–I’ve always had trouble with the idea of a bikini. Even at my body’s best, I didn’t like the feeling of being so exposed in public. I have a few bikinis that I like to wear, but I tend to feel more confident in a one piece. While my choice in swimwear might sound more modest than most, I’ve come across some super sexy swimsuits that I can totally get on board with.
I honestly can’t decide which one I love most.
What about you–are you a bikini or a one piece kinda girl?

We were invited to an art show held a few weeks ago. Having come home straight from work that night, I was exhausted, but was looking forward to layering (FINALLY!) Its been a sweltering summer, so I basically jump at any chance to layer.
It isn’t normal for us to do anything eventful during the week, so we decided to enjoy our midweek outing and turn it into a date night. After the show, we took a walk to enjoy the brisk evening air and held hands under our high top table during dinner.

It’s no secret that blogging takes time. You pose in front of a camera for about an hour, edit each photo, and then write about your day. It’s more time consuming than it may seem. I get asked quite often how Handsome and I manage to find time for a photoshoot, when we both work full time (sometimes conflicting schedules) take care of Phineas, and have a social life. Here’s the secret: I take my own photos! It’s just me, my tripod and the 10-second self-timer setting on my camera. I click the button…run…and pose! I do that about a million times in a row and voila!
Our house is nestled behind a three story apartment building, where people can see me posing in front of the camera acting like a model in my backyard. It might literally make them LOL (and I’m pretty sure it has).
But after all the running and posing for my tripod and friendly neighbors lol-ing at the sight, I’m having fun and being true to myself and that’s the only thing that really matters.
My favorite remedy for a warm summer evening
It’s been a few months, I know.
At times, life can get in the way. But I’m back. I’ll start getting back into the swing of things soon.I can’t believe its already July, and if that isn’t reason enough to celebrate…I hope you all have a safe and happy time with your friends and family.
Happy 4th of July!
